SkillsFuture Forum 2020

“Today’s SkillsFuture Forum is also the first physical event I have attended in three months. Since we are in Phase 2 of re-opening, I asked for a physical event, with safe distancing measures.

So it was organized as a part physical, part online event. Less than 50 people attended, all wore masks, and sat apart. No buffet, and proceedings were designed for a live Zoom audience. It’s good to be on a rostrum again, and even better to see the event company staff busy at work.”

– Minister Ong Ye Kung, 17th July 2020.

With virtual and hybrid events being the new norm, we are glad to deliver the recent SkillsFuture Forum 2020 successfully!

Featuring Minister of Education, Mr. Ong Ye Kung as one of the guest speakers, the hybrid event was organised by SkillsFuture Singapore, The Business Times & The Straits Times with technical support provided by ETG.

Due to the safety distancing measures, only a limited number of participants were present onsite whilst the rest of the audience were able to view the event via teleconference.

What we did:

Facing the challenges of both a live and a virtual audience at the same time, ETG had to ensure that the solution we provided was stable at all times.

Our newest offering of a Production Suite was integrated for the live-streaming platform used by the audiences. In a nutshell, the Production Suite enables editing and content management whilst running a live broadcast.

In addition, ETG also provided the cameras, speakers, lighting and trusses for the event.
